In this video I tried to pull together a bunch of different aspects of light saber training with an emphasis of fun.  I was finally able to get some of the ladies of the AFA on camera.  Of course there is hardcore dueling action.  On a serious note, I showcased the very real issue of light saber addiction.  Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Cool video Musashi Padawan. Smiley

You certainly do cover many aspects of addiction ownership there.

Two thoughts:

1. Does this perhaps belong in the combat section?  It is more than just that...

2. The forum admin MIGHT see this as an advertisement or recruiting video.  I really don't see it that way, but if that is in fact your hope/intent, I'd PM him (Ultra) about it first. Wink

Good stuff though.  Nicely edited. Smiley

Thanks Lord Rapine.
I didnít know what subforum would fit, so I went generic with this movie section. Those combat folks can be a prickly lot and I didnít want them to have to wait through 4 minutes of talking before the bloodshed!
As for the intent, I only meant to share our little pocket of the world with the larger community. Sabering is many different things to many different people and I wanted to showcase some of what it means to our group.

Oh, I did think of something else upon reflection. A couple weeks ago, a woman I work with asked me about what I do with light sabers/martial arts. She was interested in trying something new but wasnít sure if the environment would be comfortable as a woman. That really inspired me to get some of the women I train with on camera discussing what they enjoy. The world has come a long way in breaking down Star Wars stereo types about gender in recent years, but not all the way yet. I wanted to portray sabering as a fun place for all. Hopefully that came through too.

That is an excellent sentiment Musashi Padawan!

Agreed.  Great strides have been made recently, but we're not there yet. Smiley

+1 for great attitude.

Man I wish I had a place like this near by.
I'm also a big fan of Miyamoto Musashi. I still need to get another copy of The book of five Rings. +1
