Does anyone own a Raven and use it for heavy dueling (full speed swings)? I am wondering if the claws will stand up to the repeated impacts.

Do not use the Raven to duel with the claws on. It's not safe and the claws can/will snap. This can be said of any saber with claws.

DT, if you're looking for a dueler, your best bet is Aeon/Dominix V4 or Apprentice/Dk Apprentice V4. They're the BEST for heavy dueling.

DT, if you're looking for a dueler, your best bet is Aeon/Dominix V4 or Apprentice/Dk Apprentice V4. They're the BEST for heavy dueling.

But that just makes it a better canvas for customizing:  And then with the claws off for dueling mode:  This is my go to dueler always. Only my son's Apprentice is quicker. Until I actually dueled, I thought a heavy hilt would be good for power blows and tiring my opponent, how quickly I learned that in the saber world of dueling, weight is not your friend and will get you quickly outclassed by a more nimble opponent. |

Speed is life. My go-to remains my Aeon V4, equipped with a 32" HG blade. The speed and accuracy are unmatched, and while I do occasionally miss the extra 4", the longer blade is slower and that is generally a more severe handicap than the shorter length.

Yeah I was about to mention the Sentinel V4 for hard dueling, one of my favorite duelers too next to the Standard Issue V3, wanna talk about a great dueler  Can always get one of each though, Raven for scary pretties basically then either of the V4's or a Standard Issue V3 for heavy dueling Just a thought though. Love the Dominix V4 for dueling/looks though myself =] |

I cut the claws on my Raven down so I could duel with it. Not all sabers with claws have trouble in dueling, the reaper and war glaive are fine for me, but yeah the ones on the Raven are too long for it.
