For a first-time lightsaber purchase the Apprentice LE v4 was exactly what I was searching for. A basic model with excellent features ! The hilt is chrome with gold highlights that give it a distinctive class. The Apprentice LE v4 with Obsidian Lite Sound is perfectly sized, elegant and perfectly balanced with smooth surfaces that are ideal for customization. The removable pommel adds an extra level of custom finishing. The Obsidian Lite Sound is robust and definitely alerts others that your lightsaber is functioning. The Obsidian Lite soundboard comes with the standard sound effects that will take you into combat with confidence. I ordered the 24 inch mid grade blade in Guardian Blue. The color is very bright and the blade is evenly lit from tip to emitter. At first, I thought the 24 inch blade was too small, but then I began training with it and found it to be perfect for my combat style. I prefer one-handed fencing elegance. The combination of the size of the Apprentice LE v4 hilt and the 24 inch blade work perfectly for those rapier moves against an opponent. For the first-time buyer, this is the version of saber to own and Ultra Sabers is the only place to get it.
