LED With Quick Disconnects Question

Hi. So if I order say an LED module with quick disconnects, would both ends come with the set? Like the main ones to the led and the other ones that go inside the hilts or would those have to be ordered somewhere else? Was thinking of just getting me a Blazing Red led for my Shock saber again here soon for now and some newer blades. I like how they glow now since US's doesn't use glue anymore in the open end. And then also how do they work? I know usually you gotta still solder the exposed wire into the plastic bits but not sure how that really works x.x Or can I just clamp the new led onto the cut wire? But then I'd also have to do the same thing to the blue led as well though so x.x Like add disconnects on that. I don't have soldering equipment anymore so kinda stuck on that I think

When I ordered my BR module for the Manticore, I'm pretty sure that the module came with the whole set. If you already have a saber with QD's installed, the connectors with the wires that normally go inside the hilt are more or less useless and you can just connect the module connectors to the hilt connectors. So you don't have to solder anything

Yeah its just standard set up so x.x I'll have to get a set for the blue led as well though

Oh, well...then you need to cut the original wired and solder the new wires to the old ones, yes.

follow-up question:  I'm thinking about ordering one of these to swap out a red LED for either VA or SRD (or both) and upgrade the hilt to QD.  The question: do the resistors for a specific color come installed on the wires between the QD connector and the LED?   I would think so, but I don't want to assume...

Yes, the resistors sit between the LED module and its connectors. It's the only reasonable way. Otherwise QD's were completely useless because you'd have to change the resistor (or add one) every time you swap the LED.

Helps a lot actually =] My Shock only has the 2 wires though but same idea either way. Also just so I don't double post, does anyone have a pic of a Malice small CE pommel? Just curious to see how it might look on a V3/4 saber. Particularly Prophecy V3 ;o

I just ordered QD on a saber and an extra QD in another color. The extra module came with the full QD set of connectors.

I also just made my first 410 nm purple LED module with QD from TCSS. It's in their 2 wire quick connector set that matches Ultrasabers QD, so I can use my own module with the new saber. So, anything you still need for your project can be affordable from TCSS. Just be sure to get the right connection that matches.
