Need help wiring ultimate super bright LED

Hey there everyone. So I have recently rewired my ultrasaber stunt Saber. Everything works great with the new "buck puck" I have installed, except. I bought some new LED's. Brighter and more heat efficient. They are the luxeon Z quad LEDs in 20mm. It runs  1300mW @ 500mA so I was sure my four AAA battery set up with buck puck was perfect. However, I am dissapointed to find out I am wrong after wiring it up and testing it. I do not know why the LED wont light. Could someone please help and tell me what I must do to activate my new Luxeon Z quad LEDs in my ultrasaber properly? Thanks so much!

I am by no means an expert on these things as I've just gotten into building sabers in the last few months. But all the buckpucks I've seen out put 1000ma or 700ma. Since you say your new LED runs at 500ma, this could be your problem. See if you can identify which buckpuck you have. You may need to do some more research on the best battery and buckpuck option.
