Hello!
I'm new here and been researching the last few days about lightsabers in general and thinking what kind of setup I should get.

So here's what I've thought out so far.

Archon v2.1
Tri-Cree Adegan Silver

Now, I'd like to get fairly white blade core in real life so the silver one seems to do the trick according to pictures and videos that I've seen. Looks very bright and solid.
And here's where my questions come in. I'd like to pair it with the other guys blade. Either enhanced day blade or photon blade.
How would it look like to a naked eye? I suppose the colours would get more like pastel tones which is fine by me. For example, a blue enhanced day blade, would it end up being similar to mid grade UE blades or I would actually somewhat retain the white core look?
If I get a photon blade, would the photon dyes still react to the white LED in any capacity? Would it look more yellow or more green? And same about the core, would it still retain most of the white brightness? I wouldn't mind weaker colours as long as the blade still looks close to the original Adegan Silver. I'm not considering colour discs since apparently they significantly reduce the brightness.
Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about and the whole idea is stupid, better off getting an Arctic Blue and maybe a photon blade. Then again, I searched on this and couldn't find any information. Has anyone paired a Tri-Cree Silver saber with these blades? Any information and/or pictures would be very appreciated Smiley Thanks.

AS will work with dayblades and photon blades. The photon blades and 'enhanced' blades from TCSS react to blue frequencies of light, so white has all frequencies and will work. The dayblades are basically pigmented regular blades, and work like filters anyway in that they will limit other frequencies(colors) from passing through. The core is still brighter than the edge, but it won't have a fully white core. My AS makes dayblades and photon blades more pale than the matching LED color, but a mild filter works well. Look up Lee filter samples. You should be able to find cheap. It's fun with AS to experiment with the many shades Lee filters have.

I have a photon green and 'enhanced' TCSS blue and red. The photon green is awesome, but more yellowish with AS than guardian blue. A mild blue filter fixes that to allow AS to perform well. The 'enhanced' red is sort of pinkish with anything other than a red LED. The 'enhanced' blue is somewhat more pale than dayblade blue, but will ultimately be brighter and more adaptable to what you want, I think. Red, purple and deep blue are dimed with filters on AS.

Some homemade dayblades... The two with windows are AS.

Enhanced blue and photon green, but with a blue LED. And no film. The polycarbonate reacts with blue light.

Red LED on bottom. AS with red day blade on top.

The red LED is plainly brighter than the filtered AS, but the flash of the camera washes out the clear blade. All the dayblades dim somewhat, because they use pigment. That pigment reflects outside light, keeping color, while dimming some of the light from the core.

Thank you very much for information and samples Smiley That was very helpful! The result isn't really all that bad! For a moment there I thought AS might not be the best choice but it seems that I'll stick to it. I will check the Lee filters too.

Purple day blade from TCSS. AS LED.
On with light. Filtered.

On with light. No filter.

The camera's sensitivity produced very different results.

Lights out. Unfiltered other than the blade itself.

Some filtering to make it more my preferred color.
