Yeah like if you run your thumb up and down you can feel the tiny grooves too but it don't bother me non, never really noticed it until now actually Tongue I think even the Standard Issue V3 saber has the tiny micro grooves too actually

I wonder if it happens when the machine needs to be cleaned or something needs to be replaced kind of like a printer running out of toner or needing service.  If so, it’s still doing a mighty fine job regardless if the weird texture which I think is still cool, better grip imo

Hm.  I didn't notice it at first because my new Prophecy is so much shinier than my old one, but yeah, it has has the grooves.  The one I bought about 5 years ago has less texture, but it does have a little bit.  The two silver sabers I have definitely have less, like they've been polished more, but they aren't totally smooth either.  Like others have said, I think it helps with the grip.
