I'm thinking about making a poncho from this blanket for a costume but I'm not sure if the pattern is appropriate. Anyone have thoughts/opinions?

I'm not sure about Star Wars... but in this universe....

While costuming in Star Wars does utilize a lot of real-world patterns and designs, I don't recall ever seeing anything remotely resembling plaid. But if you think it looks cool, the ends of the universe is the limit.

“You think you know the depths of corruption that plague the Jedi?” Saso hissed. “I’ve seen it, I’ve experienced it, I even embody it. Every breath I take is an affront to their lofty ideals and idle Force worship… and so they seek to exterminate me.” He looked deep into Barriss Offee’s eyes, “they were not successful in purging me from the galaxy, and neither will you be.”

"They've gone to plaid!"

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thought of it.  Cheesy

I don't recall ever seeing plaid in Star Wars, they mainly use solid fabrics.

That's not plaid, that is a Tartan.

I don't recall plaid in SW.

Lol thanks y'all. I had a feeling it didn't look right. I have plenty of fabric to go through still so I'll find something.

Hey now that is nit-picking lol.  Wink  Some Scottish family tartans are like a plaid.  Love that fun photo.  Cheesy

Here's my version of a tartan inspired lightsaber.  The pommel was a gift from an inactive older member... possibly a one off from US as it's never been seen again.  Heavy/bulky but I really like it.

That is a great pommel.

I recently stared a family tree in Ancestry.com to see if there is a tartan anywhere in my family. Have 299 people in the tree so far and a few born in Ireland. But no luck finding a truly old tartan at the moment. Looked into making my own but it is crazy $$$
