(Dark points only) Do not hesitate. Show no mercy

So, my long planned Star Wars fan film is nearing filming. I currently chatting with a friend (who I never knew works for Bioware) about doing the VFX space shots for me. We both agreed that we wanted to go old school using miniature ships rather than CGI ones. So, I have spent the past few weeks on s scratch build spaceship based on the following Old Republic concept:

For those of you who don't know, "scratch build" s the process of building a scale model "from scratch", i.e. from raw materials, rather than building it from a commercial kit or buying it pre-assembled. I have been using cereal box cardboard, inner tube from toilet roll, wall plugs, wooden coffee stirrers, various internal parts from some old electronics, drinking straws, cable ties, cotton buds, metal washers, headphone & speaker cables with my trusty glue gun to bring this to life. It's looking decent (so far) but will look really good once painted (I hope!).

I'll posted some during photos along with the finished product soon.

Out of curiosity, has anyone here ever made a miniature to be used in a short film?
