Hello, there! So, I was bored this evening and I was wondering how I could achieve an unstable blade effect without damaging the blade to much as it is a mid grade.

So what i decided to do is try Hot Glue. I just ran the glue gun up the blade while trying to be as random as possible.

The best part is that the glue is easily removable (if such a time arises) and doesn't damage the blade. That caveat to this is that it is mainly for Aesthetic purposes. (The glue will come off if you hit it hard enough)

This is the result of my boredom tonight. I personally think it looks good. What do you think?

Silicone can be used in much the same way.
That's how the blade effect on the Wrath was done

Good work here.
Would have to be seriously bored to use that much hot glue, though

I’m wondering if you sanded the blade roughly, with like 80 grit, how well the hot glue would hold up to impacts? If it were evenly coated at the base of the application it may be relatively sturdy. assuming, of course, the substrate were rough enoug for the glue to really bite into. Might be worth a try.🤔

Hey Therion - I've seen your unstable blades made with silicone, how does it hold up to being whacked on stuff / other sabers?

Wouldn't recommend it as a dueling blade, but haven't tested it
