The Power Ranger saber looks pretty good. Seeing the reference pic it looks like you defiantly hut the mark. The colored rings above the pommel, grip and the windows are all great. Point to you for sharing.
Hi MavRick, hope you and your clan are doing well. So glad you liked the VoidKnight saber. Despite the Power Rangers being considered cheesy the show does have some very distinct and strong visual characters which makes converting their style into a saber much easier. Thanks as always my friend and a point back!

Hello there. I recently got into an old anime called Mobile suit Gundam and the giant mecha in it have lightsabers! I think they call them beam sabers in the show. Have you ever seen these or considered making fancier versions of them? Yo have some really cool designs here.

Hi there, first off thanks for the kind comment on my designing...and second yes I have heard of Mobile Suit Gundam and a long time ago came up with this.... Then even further back in time I created a saber for a fellow member's fanfiction story which I gave a Macross colourscheme too... If I recall correctly this paint scheme was on the F-14 fighter seen in the show. Thanks again.

Hello Everyone, I took a look back and discovered that I hadn't posted pictures of the Bat Four ship I mentioned in my last comment so I dug the pics out and here is Palpatine's fully armoured (and armed) heavy class personal shuttle. the Bat Four..... The ship is armed with missiles stored in the wing pylons and the wings rotate from forward to aft to improve performance. The twin Ion engines have been upgraded and features a hyperdrive. The back cabin while small is large enough for Palpatine plus two guards. A final touch is a shield system and communications package. Sorry the interior views are a bit dark but Blender 3D rendered the images a bit different than I planned. Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed this one. I LOVE this design, FT!!! THIS is worthy of a galactic emperor and conqueror Hello Everybody, Recently I have veered off course from the focus of this thread and ventured into starfighter designs so TO GET BACK TO THE SUBJECT OF LIGHTSABERS.... I bring to you the PowerVoidKnight saber I designed inspired by the Power Rangers Dino Fury series anti-villain. And this is the guy my saber is based off.. I think I got pretty close to nailing his look. Thanks for checking it out and so till next time..... Although Power Rangers were never my thing, this looks GOOD: from the color scheme to the detailing, a SOLID saber! I THOUGHT that I'd seen these before, FT. Regardless, they STILL look fantastic WELL deserved point!

I LOVE this design, FT!!! THIS is worthy of a galactic emperor and conqueror Although Power Rangers were never my thing, this looks GOOD: from the color scheme to the detailing, a SOLID saber! I THOUGHT that I'd seen these before, FT. Regardless, they STILL look fantastic Hi there my friend! Good to see you posting again, and I see you have been busy with another huge expansion of your fan-fiction legacy. Regarding my designs, yes I dug a couple out of the archives with Lady Revan's fanfic based "Opela Moraf" saber and the Gundam beam saber. Can you believe the "Opela" is nearly 6 years old now (I published it back in December of 2018 ). And way back even further I produced a whole series of Power Ranger themed hilts but I used the "Other Guys" modular hilt design software so I can't post pictures of them here. But the VoidKnight is a Blender 3D design made from scratch so I can share this one - and it was my experience in New Zealand that prompted this one. Finally, the Bat-Four is actually the result of yours and LSG's requests for the "TIE Liberator" and "TIE Defender Elite" starfighters - I er, STRETCHED those concepts as far as I thought possible and the Bat-Four came up, so thanks for egging me on. Thanks as always for the kind comments, glad you liked this variety box of memories. point inbound.

The fit between the Astromech and the hilt is perfect, its essentially is the droid just missing the legs on the side! Great eye for these things as always For.

Hi LSG, I hope you and your folks are doing well. I seem to have had an affinity with Astromech Droid ssabers since way back in 2018 when I met R5-PHT (the droid from SOLO) and of course Artoo himself at my local comic con. They just lend themselves to being turned into sabers....as you say just remove their legs and stretch them out a bit! Now the newer Selenium Drive BB series droids are a bit more difficult to convert but believe it or not I have found a way to turn those Astros into sabers too (those hilts are coming soon as I work through my backlog of designs - but you can check out my site if you're eager to see them sooner). Thanks again for your continuing support and encouragement. point inbound.

Alright! The CHOPPER!!! Always love your specialized sabers, FT (hey I remember that Artoo saber you did!!! And what a great pic of you w/ the droid himself at your con!). It's amazing how you can take something as simple as a cylinder and make these remarkable designs (LOVE the greebling!). Point my friend!

Hi Dutch, Chopper is such a character that it is slightly easier to immortalise him in saber form. As LSG rightly pointed out you have the basis for a droid saber just by removing their legs (and maybe altering their dome slightly). And I mentioned meeting THE droid from SOLO? Here he is with his domed head (R5-PHT has interchangeable domes - an R2 seen here and an R5 series head seen in the next image.) Finally a family photo... And a sneak peek at a new Astro Saber (well it's power source at least) Thanks as always, point incoming.

Not gonna derail here, but that droid line-up has raised a question. Please see Random SW Thoughts.

Thank you that's very kind but I still have a way to go before I'm encyclopedic! I did binge watch all 7 seasons of TCW and watched The Bad Batch and Rebels all the way through during the past 12 months but I'll need to rewatch them before all the information and storylines sink into my brain. Back to "old" droids here are my R5-PHT and R5-D4 designs...

Hi Dutch, glad you liked this retro look back on some old Astro themed hilts. They (Astromechs) have so much character about them any saber I model on one is usually easy to identify.....however.... Some droids are a bit different....
This is my latest venture, building fully animated robots! And no that isn't really me in a stunted stormtrooper outfit point on it's way to you!
