Hi Darth, well I did try my best to get this saber anatomically close but close to a Carpenter Ant! I think the standard non suit coloured version will look a bit more Ant-like  No I was seeing everything but the emitter. My mind is corrupted. |

I'm late seeing this but nice saber. I like the Ant-man movies, cool idea. Maybe even a wasp themed saber since the 2nd movie was Ant-man and wasp.  Point to you for sharing it with us. |

Hello Everybody, I just happened to check my calendar and realised we'd slipped into March already and then I realised it's a MONTH since I posted a new design so I best get on and do that right now. After being inspired by all the nature of New Zealand I started designing a few hilts such as the Waitangi Grounds inspired hilt. But around this time Marvel were pushing their new film Antman and I was asked by a fellow blogger to see if I could do an Antman themed saber. As always I set to work and came up with this crossover display...     I reckon it looks a bit like an Ant....despite not having seen the film at the time! Anyway I hope you enjoyed this one, sorry it was a bit late in coming. I'm reminded of "Ant-ony" I hope that you had a great time in New Zealand^^ Point! |

Hi Dutch,
The trip down under to NZ and Australia was a month long adventure I'll never forget. I got to get up close and personal with a Lion cub (ok, I know not a native of NZ but he looked like Simba) and met a reptile called a Tuatara - a species that was around during the time of dinosaurs and still around today. The one I met was over 100 years old!
And yes I met NZ's national bird....I got to see FIVE Kiwi birds in one day.
Might have to share a few more travel pics in future.

Hello Everybody, I'm afraid this comment is rather late again but I've had a bit of a change in my routine - namely I've been busy with some important admin stuff, but I've also had to change some medication I was taking for a long standing condition and I'm getting the new treatment into my system. So I have felt a bit rough... Anyhoo, sorry again and here is the regular "natural colour" version of my Ant-Man hilt...      Of course the last pic is close up portrait of a Carpenter Ant which I used as reference. And don't worry work on "The Wasp" is coming along nicely and I should be posting it soon. Thanks for checking this one out as always. |

You haven't insulted me, I was just saying that you more or less described what I have done with the WASP. I have a curved blade and the "Stinger" pommel - I am just doing an animation of the hilt to show it off working. I think you'd be a good hilt designer yourself. |

I like the copper color on the Ant-man saber, it looks cool!! My brain saw the Ant-man hilt in fire Orange cuz fire ants and the Wasp in yellow. Nothing wrong with the way you have it. That's just how my brain works, Lol.  Point for sharing! |
