So, I've seen pictures of the Butcher (blue anodized). I originally thought that it would look more like the Azure Dorinian in color. It appears to be the same color as the Azure Menace. Can anyone verify this for me. I wanted the Dorian blue. If it isn't that I color, I may change to the red one. I assume it (red one that is) looks like the Crimson Menace in color. Any help would be appreciated.

While I don't know this for sure, I believe that all the blue anodized sabers are supposed to be the same color (shade). Unfortunately, the process for making the anodizing isn't perfect, so they are not always exactly the same color. Someone can probably give a more scientific explanation.

As explained on another thread the Butcher I have has two blues on it. The emitter and pommel are both a rich deep dark blue. The main body of the hilt is the typical Azure tone that US puts on their other sabers. You can see this if you look closely at the pommel of the Butcher in the pic above. In particular my Blue Butcher body matches up to my Azure Reaper almost exactly. My Azure Menace has a very slight blue greenish hue in person so can't really say it matches the Blue Butcher exactly in my case. The Dorinian I saw at their booth was very close to my Azure Menace, if you look again closely at their website photos you will see that similar to my Blue Butcher, the emitter and pommel appear to have a darker deeper blue anodizing than the main body hilt. As TR said US tries to match the pieces as close as possible but due to the anodizing process slight variations exist.

Edon, thanks so much for pointing that out. I really fell in love with the deeper blue on the Butcher. I really want to go that route. If not, then red would be next.

I'm not going to lie, Edon's showcasing of his blue saber collection gives me new perspective with blue hilts. Although the anodizing process may change the color slightly, they still look great. Thanks, Edon.
