Cat toys.
I feel you! My cats love my sabers XD I mostly just use it to make peoples jaws drop. I wear my Prophecy around town and I love seeing people's expressions when they see their first Jedi.
AND THIS! I was wearing my Butcher and Savior yesterday on the metro and there were these two kids that were so excited! The girl was all “Mommy! She has a lightsaber! Does that make her a real Jedi? Does she know she has a lightsaber?” XD it made my day.
I also frequently bring sabers with me to school to teach friends the basics (I think I’ve convinced my most promising Padawan to join me in Halloween Star Wars Shenanigans, in which case I’ll be sure to post pics—told her I would let her borrow my sentinel staff if she did. We went over saber care and maintenance yesterday lol). They also make great whacking sticks in case you need to scare off someonefollowing you through downtown in the middle of the night >.> |

That is the best feeling ever! I love bringing smiles to the children. and on the topic of that last part, I have always been a bit paranoid about that and I have discovered that the saber's choke point makes a good handhold for holding it upside down and using it as a baton. Fortunately I have never been put in a situation like that, but it's always good to know things like that. |
