Oh, and just as a side note, here’s the soundboard and speaker I’m going to use. This is the final/main mods to both.   The speaker looks bad, but it works fine(after I superglued the entire edge). It barely fits, but it fits. Sounds pretty good too! If you look close at the sound board, right where I’m pointing with the paint brush, I figured out I can solder a solid piece of wire right across those exposed contacts. That was the point of contact for the attached switch. With it soldered , and wired with the positive lead wrapped up with the LED on the upstream side of the AV, it comes on with the LED. It was a cool board, and did a couple neat things, but at the end of the day I just wanted it for sound. The US LED is CLEARLY a superior product, and really, the heart of the saber. Just figured you all would be interested to see the guys of the thing! Peace, Love, and MTFBWY. |

Thanks boys!!! We’ll see how well this works out. I’m thinking it will work, but longevity will be questionable. It’s for my 17 yo daughter, and I don’t believe she’ll be doing a great deal of fighting with it. That being said, if she does, and the sound fails, I’ll just fix or replace it with a more modern setup. It’s always worth a try for nothin! Nobody was using that old toy saber anyway with a house full of actual combat sabers!!!!!!!
