There has been an awakening in the Force…Have you felt it?

…the Dark…

…& the light…

*insert kick-butt footage of Millennium Falcon here*

Consider this my "teaser trailer"…I should be getting my grab bag purchase tomorrow.

All I know about this project so far is that it will be a Jedi build in Guardian Blue

I present to you.... Another Dominix LE...but this time v3! That means MHS compatibility!

...and here are my choices for leather to wrap this time around:

...the idea in my head currently is to add some O-Rings under the leather to create a raised set of ribs instead of the inverted channels...Different look.

- However, before I do any of that I am going to need to repaint this son of a murglak. I'm looking at a forged/hammered finish in Antique Pewter

- I will probably grab a nice emitter shroud from our friend Sedsti Skyfaller (I'd post image of what I'm thinking but I believe that is verboten)

- Pommel may be the Spectre Pommel with D-Ring

- I am thinking about doing some painted weathering and battle damage with the 'ol Dremel and who knows what else!

I intend to repaint the whole saber first (hammered antique pewter)...I mean, how can I square a Jedi with a black hilt?!? It's just not proper....and I'm leaning on #2 or #3 for the leather. I need to figure out the size O-Rings that would work best for the grooves.

I like 2 for the different color

Yeah...It's all leather pieces. I thought it would be great to have that gray for something interesting down the road....I found a company on Etsy that does this nice pack of 6 pieces of (I think) 4"x6" (you pick the colors) and it wasn't really expensive. I used the "Chocolate Maroon" on my last build and it looks so dang Sithy. I figure this being a Jedi build that something in the brown family may look appropriate.

FYI, since the forum let Skyfaller has his own thread here to advertise you can post pictures of his things.

Looking forward to seeing what you do.

Painting is in-progress. Here is the initial coat. It's hard to see via the pics, but the Hammered/Forged Antique Pewter created some unique and interesting pitting effects in the finish (intentionally) and looks very dynamic. It will need a clear flat coat to drop the shine a bit. Quite glossy.

Leather choices are shown. I'm gravitating towards the dark brown...What do you folks think?

I'm considering a colored option for the rings that won't be covered by either shroud or wrap. Metallic blue sounds kinda sharp!
