So... Before I post my review re: my new Savior, I wanted to post an update on my Butcher.

Having handled it for a while, I feel I've identified the grip that is most comfortable (for me, at least).  Images below.

Basically, the thumb rests just below the switch, with one claw against the webbing between thumb and index.



Now... Onto the Savior...

I just received my Savior saber (say that ten-times-fast), and I am in love.

My goal was to replicate the image below.  Step one was to secure a Butcher ... Check out my first review on this forum (images below as well).  

As for the Savior, the first thing I'll say is this... With the Butcher, in my review I remarked that you can save a few bucks by skipping the emitter windows.  With the Savior... GET THE WINDOWS!  I love the appearance of blazing red burning from the emitter.

Likewise, I went with the red anodized trim and a red illuminated switch.  I'm very pleased.

Last comment - unlike the Butcher (which is heavy and a tricky grip to handle comfortably), the Savior is light, and easy to handle... Making it a fine option for the off hand, if you want to wield two at once... Like someone we know!

Your Savior looks so good trimmed out with all the red, I really like that. I keep hearing that although it's long it is indeed light and easy to handle which is something I highly value. Point for the review.

That emitter on your Saviour is outstanding with the red anodizing and the windows!  I'm surprised others haven't gone with windows too, you are right they really make that emitter pop!  Shocked

Looks great in red. I was thinking of the traditional gold when I finally get one of these, but the red looks so good, I may have to mull this over a while. I was definitely going for the windows though—even before I saw yours. Congrats on two great sabers!

Just can't get over how sweet that Savior emitter looks with those windows.  I think the black anodized version would look killer on my Dark Arbiter which is just begging for windows in my opinion.  Anyone know if the emitters will be for sale separately some glorious day?

The Savior looks good I n red. Smiley  I just wish the pommel was red to match the emitter. That would have put this saber over the top. And maybe even on my wish list. Point to you for sharing. MTFBWY!
