My dark Initiate LE v4 isn't working. I turned it on Friday and both sound and LED worked great. Didn't beat it up, just practiced spinning. I just started it up again today, and now, the sound works fine, but no lit up blade. The LED isn't working. What should I do?

Charge the batteries or throw in fresh ones as a start. |

Did you replace the Li-Ion batteries that came with the saber with standard AA batteries? That would result in the phenomenon you described. There's not enough power for both the Obsidian and the LED when you use normal AA batteries.
If you use the right batteries (i.e. 2x protected 14500 sized 3.7v Li-Ion) , it could be a broken connection to the LED pad. I'd check all wires and connections, even if you didn't use it for dueling. A flawed connection can completely break due to spinning as well.

Obsidian Premium Sound (v3 & v4), Emerald, Emerald + Prem Sound and Diamond sabers all come with Li-Ion batteries. Stunt and Obsidian Lite sabers come with AAA batteries. If you have a holder with 4 slots, it's a stunt or Lite Sound saber using AAA batteries. If you have a holder with 2 slots, you have either a Premium Sound, Prem Sound + Emerald, Emerald or Diamond saber which needs Li-Ion batteries with the specs mentioned before.
Since I don't know which brand of AAA batteries Ultrasabers uses, I can't help you with that second question.

AAA is not lithium ion. 4x AAA come with the basic soundboard. The premium soundboards will be 2x Lithium ion, which is the size of AA, but not the same voltage etc. Leaving any batteries in can drain them at rest. Stunt sabers, with no sound, that have 4 x AAA and a latching switch might be ok with the batteries in, but too long and the batteries leak, just like anything with batteries. |

Ok, so I have the Sony batteries (AAA) in. That's what the saber came with. I still have sound but no lit LED. What do I do?

If you have ruled out drained batteries by putting in fresh AAA's, then like Racona said it is probably a wire that came loose on the LED, unfortunately it may be difficult to check that on an intiate V4 since the emitter is not removable. If it is still within the 1 year warranty, I would consider contacting US customer service to send it in to get fixed.
