As an actress she may possibly be best known for Laverne & Shirley, but as a director she will be remembered for such great films as BIG with Tom Hanks, A League of their Own and Jumpin Jack Flash with Whoopi Goldberg.

Her death was caused by complications linked to diabetes. She is one of the most successful female directors of all time (when you look at box office) and she will be missed.  Cry

I just heard about this on the news. She was awesome. I used to watch Laverne & Shirley all the time as a kid.
I never knew she directed Jumpin Jack Flash. That's one of my favorite movies. RIP.
