I had recently bought my second saber, and I noticed that it had done something that my first saber did as well. After I took the battery pack out from the pommel - the LEDs started to shimmer slightly when the saber was activated. I did not have an idle pulse setting on either of the sabers, which leads me to believe that removing the battery pack somehow disturbed the wiring even slightly, changing batteries did not help. I did not take the pack out far, only as far as what is recommended. Does anyone happen to have any explanations or solutions? Any help would be appreciated.

If you got the lite sound , the slight flicker is normal so no worries. If not idk.

Hmmm, interesting. I have the V4. Thanks for the advice, though.

I always get a slight shimmer on my diamond savior... personally, I like it because to me it makes it seem more realistic.

Hi Everybody,

I had a conversation with another saber owner (not a US hilt owner) a while back who had a similar problem resulting in a buzzing coming from his speaker when in mute mode. I worked out that the speaker wires had moved a little bit and were running across/over the soundboard. This meant that the speaker wires were "picking up" the electrical noise generated by the board. All electrical circuits create a "noise" and magnetic field that if placed next to another wire or circuit could cause interference (showing as a buzzing noise we hear or a flickering).

Maybe the LED wires are stretched over the board rather than running down the sides and are picking up the interference and causing the LED to flicker. Repositioning the wires helped eliminate my friend's issue.
I'm not sure how the wires are routed in your hilt but may be a possible cause.
