I picked up an Aeon V5 during the recent multi hilt flash sale. I got it empty so I could do my DIY thing. I love it, and I made a little video about it. Notice: I did call it the Initiate V5 at the beginning of the video, but I think I called it the Aeon V5 for the rest of it.

Great review, SFD, as usual. Good to know sanding the claws made a difference. I like the idea of reversing them, but never thought about how it might effect the grip with the blocker end on the bottom. It’ll be something i eventually have to play around with and decide when I get one. Nice comparison beside the V4 as well. Thanks for your thoughtful efforts and contributions on the V5 hilt  |

Thanks a lot, everyone. It's a really nice hilt, I'm glad I got it. I also like how it looks like the saber sort of has a double ignition kinda thing going on too It's the camera doing that. It doesn't know how to handle the gradient LED ignition. In person, it just has a gradual light up, timed to the length of the power on sound. |

Fantastic review and great job on the customization, especially the different soundboards and colored AV switches. Loved all of it, including the (spot on) warning about the claws. May have to figure out how to change their direction.

There are a couple threads on the subject. They're held on by two pins and can be gently pried off. |

Thanks Malik. It's a nice hilt, a bit on the big side, but that's OK. It just needs some kind of minor mod to do something about the sharp claws.

I've been so busy last week trying to watch this video and just never had the time. I was finally able to watch it and I'm glad that I did. the Aeon and Dominix are also my favorite line of original sabers that US offers. Thank you for the detailed review on the Aeon of yours. I like your colored AV switch choice. That was a good idea to use sand paper to round the sharp edges of the claws
