Sightseeing advice - Any suggestions for Ireland?

I'm currently planning to do an Ireland tour (with wife and smaller children) later this year.
Initial ideas include 'first a few days in Dublin and surrounding area' as well as driving to Galway and/or Cork.

To all who've been to Ireland before or live there:
Do you have any hints what we should try to see / avoid at all cost ?

You might want to go and visit Jocasta Nu at the Jedi Temple Library! The Trinity College Library "Long Room" in Dublin has a striking resemblance to the Jedi library so much so there was a court case about likenesses being used without permission etc because of it. You might be able to get a few Star Wars style pics.

Or maybe have an "Alec" Guinness at the Guinness Brewery (again in Dublin) and visit the Gravity Bar (that's it's real name after the brewing term  ) which sits atop the brewery building. You can also see the famous "St James Gate" as well where all the Guinness leaves the brewery. Again here is another link to my friend's site for a picture.
