A lot of doctors' offices in the US still use faxes. You can also still buy all in one printers over here that have fax capabilities.

Did you ever see any computers when you were in the military still running DOS? I did, it was the computer down in our supply room.

We still use fax and DOS here at work and they are both a pain in the ass!

I didn't see that but I did see some dot matrix printers and the Marine Corps was just getting to Windows 7 late 2000s.

I know the feeling, the Corps got into 7 when 10 was released.  It's funny actually.  I asked why not get into 10 and they said that a lot of the programs wouldn't have been compatible so it wasn't them not wanting to upgrade, it's the vendor softwares that were ancient.  When I left, they were upgrading to 10 and that was 6 years ago back in 2013 so they were probably upgrading to build 1511 which 1809 is the latest that was 5 builds ago.

I mean I got out in 2005, Vista was launched in 2006. Most of the Army computers were running XP when I got out.

Fair enough. The Army is normally up to date with most of their stuff.  I think the only thing that the Corps is up to date on is tech and weapons.
