For quite some time I've been admiring these sabers, and recently decided to get one for each member of the family (starter stunt sabers ofc) but my boys 7/5 spend entirely too much time indoors when the weather's nice, hoping this will cause them to spar out of doors with there mother and I. If things go well, I look forward to making many more, and much more substantial purchases!

Sounds pretty cool. Perhaps you could show them a few fan films and suggest that your family make a film to. Each member would have a part. Maybe you and mom could be sith and the kids, jedi out to stop them. Just a thought. Enjoy your sabers and your family.

just remember to set a rule of no dueling in the house.
boys tend to get a bit rambunctious and we know the house won't survive them with these sabers.
I've known a few adults in here who have done an "oops" to a lamp, ceiling fan, etc.

Thanks for thw arm greetings guys! @Malik Thanewulf, might you have links to said videos? @Bigbear I dont intend to leave the blades attached. I bought stands and plugs for everyone. Its been explained these are exercise equipment, NOT toys. And as for saftey, i was thinking hockey pads would serve well for the time being, until I get a sense of 'this is a novelty' or 'this rules'
Edit. I bought 2 dark initiate V2 One with blazing red, one in banes heart (pink?) an initiate v2 in consular green, and a dark initiate v2 le in pyrestone orange

You can go on YouTube and type in star wars fan films. Some are more professionally edited, while others are clearly more amateur film maker quality. Either way, they will probably be good motivation and a lot of fun. And remember, it's all for fun. If you do make a film, please share.
