Hey guys, I'm building a saber for my fiance and she decided on the hot pink led for her first saber. Can anyone recommend a buckpuck.  Should I get 700ma or 1000ma?

There is no good or evil....there's only power!

Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't built sabers myself yet Tongue

AFAIK HP is made from Red and Blue which is resistored. I don't have the Datasheet of the LED module you want to use, so I don't know about the exact forward voltages and currents. Also, we need to know which power source you will use. 7.4 Li-Ion setup or 6V stunt setup? This will greatly impact your resistor values. You may use a 700mA BuckPuck, but then you have to adjust the resistor on Blue because Blue won't be at full power with just 700mA. Red doesn't need to be resistored on a 700mA BuckPuck.

I recommend a 1000mA Buckpuck, resistor on Red to prevent it from burning and resistor on Blue to make HP. It may take some trial-and-error until you find a suitable resistor for your desired HP shade.

With this site you can calculate the appropiate resistors.
