Thoughts on the Shock

I've had a SHock LE, a Dark Shock, and a Shock body.
I gave the LE away, but the body is VERY useful.
One is the core of my 'Rum's Unity' custom, and the Dark Shock body now sports a Dark Dorinian pommel and Consular emitter
It's a VERY versatile saber

I was never really impressed with any of the Shock(s). That is until back in December when I was playing with the MHS builder and realized I was designing one, LOL.
Then I realized it was the Pommel that I put off by. I wound up getting a Dark Shock and replacing the pommel with a Scorpion Pommel, and it turned out bad A. It's easily my 2nd/3rd favorite now. It just feels right in my hand.

Now, I really want the Shock in the polished aluminum. I plan to get it in a few months as an empty and installing a NBv4 with BBW TRI. There's a pommel that's similar to the Scorpian/Guardian on TCSS that I plan to use it.

I used to want an LE in arctic blue with sound and then put a lost gray pommel on it.

Lost Grey WOULD look pretty good. I can also see the Spectre or Archon Classic looking nice too....

The Lost Grey might be problematic as that hilt has a shroud, so the pommel edge would doubtless fit that, and I don't think they've released a MHS version like they did with the Scorp and Guardian pommels. I think the same goes for the Spectre as well. Which is a shame cuz I'd like to try one one a BOOYA! half.

First hand experience. My first 2 were the Scorp and Mantis. Both have shrouds.

Oh, good point about the Spectre.   I was thinking about getting one for an Apprentice V5.   Guess I'll have to try something else...

Not to derail but I think this is an important point and want to understand clearly.  So the Spectre and Lost Gray extend out in OD beyond the OD of the Shock, is that the issue?  Of does the "not MHS version" mean they have a different threading and will not screw in at all? 

Again just want to be clear since like my mantis pommel has an OD greater than that of my reaper but it still can be put on if I want to as the threading is the same.

What MP said.  :-)  It will fit, but you'll have a "rim" around the pommel that won't line up with the hilt.  Sometimes it still works, but you should know about it going in.   As Logos said, US actually makes a "stock" version and "MHS" version of the Scorpion and Guardian pommels, so you can get one to fit the narrower hilts.  But the threads will fit everything else except the Aeon/Dominix V2 and the Initiate V2s.  Those are not MHS compatible.

The OD on the Arbiter is the standard, same as on the Shock. The "neck"  shown is actually the pommel choke from my Scorpion.
