Possible Wrap for Switch?

Heyo, haven't posted in like a year or two because school is busy. I have a question about old guarded switches. What's a good way to wrap/ cover them so they have less of a chance of being broken when smacked? My initiate v4 and dominix v3 have the AV switches but my old modded guardian (removed shroud and screws, looks great) has a guarded switch and I worry about it breaking with how much I fight. I've tried paracord wrapping but the switch just makes too much of a gap with most wraps.
