Now, the Grand Master LE looks wonderful. The body width is just like a Reaper is that looks to be the basic design base. The wall thickness at the base is just 2 mm. The Saber itself is quite light weight, compared to my Dark Graflex it's about the same. My Lost Grey weighs more. The scroll work I can tell was done by machine, but I expected that, from seeing the pre-sale pictures on the home site. The emitter is a BEAST. If you took the top 5 inches off an Initiate V4 or V5 and added it to a reaper body, that's about what it would be like. The blade retention area is almost 4 inches deep, so a blade will be held very firmly. The support claws on the emitter have 2 roll pins to attach each to the emitter and the claws fit into grooves. Makes it look clean and sturdy. Down to the AV switch. If this switch can be used for other designs, i'd be in for a lot of changes.



I like the switch holder. Nice and slim, and really accents the saber design well.

Overall, I'm quite impressed with this Grand Master LE. I may add a different pommel to offset the heavier emitter, but overall, it's a pretty awesome addition to my arsenal.

Note: The saber has a diamond controller as my standard, but the AV switch is an angry orange, my one drastic change for this new Grand Master LE, instead of the white or blue of my last light sided sabers, like the Sentinel LE V5 and the like.

Last shot. Blade plug in the emitter bit more than 1/2 inch too short.



You can see the tip of the middle emitter window.

Just noticed that the plug rattles around a little. Seems the 1.1 inch space for the blade is more like 1.15 inch. About 1 mm wider than normal.

Great pictures and video, Chalion. The gold makes it look very royal-like.

As someone who wears L/XL gloves, it didn't seem like there was sufficient hand real estate below the emitter.  Don't get me wrong, it's truly a beautiful saber and I'm certainly going to purchase one, but probably more as a "show piece" and than for dueling purposes.

The nice thing i've noticed while using a 2 hand grip with this Grand Master is that the claws naturally hold your primary hand off of the activation switch, but your off hand (at least for me) my ring finger overlaps the covertec wheel. It's not uncomfortable, but a ring will make gripping it solidly tougher.



When i'm holding this sans blade it feels more like a mace than a hilt. My off hand overlaps the pommel but not the cap, so a pommel swap to a flared type may anchor that hand on the hilt better, for 2 handed combat swinging. To me though, one handed use for dueling will be uncomfortable and unwieldy. As a pike, or a staff weapon it would probably be ok, but the claws will reduce the area to grip to spin or twirl.
