In my brief experience with mine:
For single-handed, I agree with your positioning.
For two-handed, I found the following to be more comfortable:
roll the blade so your palm is on the back opposite side of the AV switch. Your fingers will curl around the switch (hopefully into your finger joint. Your thumb can rest between two of the support beams without getting in the way/maintaining a grip.
Then, with your off hand, bring it so your palm just rests beside the covertec, and your fingers wrap around the opposite side.
