I believe the Dutchman requested a breakdown of the mods on my Sentinel, so here it is.
The unseen:
A stack of larger foreign coins wrapped in electrical tape and put in the bottom of the saber, to serve as counterbalance (since it is a stunt saber).
The visible:
- A shroud: made from a plastic "squeeze sides to open" film container type thing. Drew some washable marker lines as a guide, cut with exacto knife, edges smoothed and then surface roughed with sandpaper. Painted, and pressure fit on the top of the saber (happens to be the perfect size)
- Hammer finish metallic paint: on the shroud, switch section of the saber body, and textured part of the pommel.
-a spear extension: made from an adapter ordered from tcss, epoxy'd snugly to a wood dowel from the hardware store.
- a swatch book of lee filters to change colors as whim dictates.
And that's all. I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
