Crimson Scorpion Resurrection!!

I finally got to rewire my Crimson Scorpion and and some detail items to it. The little plate on the back was meant to just cover an old recharge port hole but I added the yellow light because I found it in my parts kit. I had to put the main switch block on with the button head screws because I tried to be lazy and drill the mount holes with the shroud still on. That pushed them off line and I had to bore out the hole in the block to make it align.

I do like the guardian blue light with the red body much better than the consular green I originally had in it. The current setup is gardian blue single LED and Li-Ion with buck puck. The accent lights around the switch and on the back are run with 20 mA variable resistors so I wouldn't need to math it out, and because I have a bunch lying around.

This is pretty awesome! Any saber looks better with an activation box in my opinion.  The housing you used for the led is really cool. I wish ultrasabers would add decorative LEDs to some of their sabers. It  looks so good!  You did a great job with it. I'm sending you a point too.

What housing? Do you mean the main LED or the little accent one?

The small yellow accent led and the silver plate it is attached to. That is a button housing, huh? That is what I meant when I said led housing. Poor choice of words on my part.

I understand now. Yeah that plate was designed as a switch mount but I ordered a blank just to cover the recharge port hole I didn't want to use. Then when I noticed I still had that LED sitting around I decided to throw it in there. I think it adds a nice touch for and unplanned addition.

I completely agree with you! It looks great.  I would have believed you did everything intentionally.  It looks like it is supposed to be that way. Very professional looking job.

Looks great. I like the blue better then green blades, I'm sure with the green it looked like a Christmas saber LOL. Did you get the other parts from TCSS? They have some nice stuff.

Yes. I love to mix and match with parts from TCSS. It makes personalizing my sabers so much easier.

Hadn't seen a Crimson Scorpion with GB LED before, very interesting, and that yellow accent light is way cool for it being unplanned.
