My first time customizing a saber! I painted the hilt and changed the LED to a Luxeon Rebel Star Lime. I also added the V4 type pommel.   |

Thank you! I always wanted to learn to solder so swapping the LED was good practice. |

Initially I was unsure of it, but it ended up growing on me pretty quickly!
It looks sweet. The V4 pommel on the V3 also makes a nice accent on the Initiate V3 hilt, gives it a little flare it needs. And I am ALWAYS amazed at what a little color can do for the initiate and aeon v3s... Sweet customization! |

Nice. Not bad at all How does the paint feel vs anodizing though? The paint I put on does add a slightly plastic-y feel over the metal. I used steel wool on the clear coat when it was still slightly soft to reduce some of the shine, so that might have added to the plastic feel. |

Nice. Not bad at all How does the paint feel vs anodizing though? Hey Zren. The paint I used on my Initiate V3s just gave the metal a bit more "grip", but didn't really change the feel at all. It didn't come out feeling plastic, but you can tell the difference between the painted areas and the bare metal, as the paint has a bit more texture to it. |
