Author Topic: Whereinheck is the USB port on a Diamond?  (Read 2262 times)

My saber just arrived. It's my first.
I went deep-end and bought one with a Diamond controller.

PROBLEM: I have no idea whatsoever how to attach it to my computer; I can't find the USB port.

I've been over the manual, and it seems to assume you know where it is already and how to get at it. (I'm thinking that should be corrected.)
Heck, I can't even figure out where the batteries are.

Do I have to take it apart? As in, do I need to take an allen wrench to it to get at the guts of the saber? No easy way to get at the internals?
How do I do any of this? The software looks easy enough, but the hardware is completely arcane to me.

Unscrew the pommel.  You will see the speaker.  Shake the hilt until the speaker comes out.  The speaker, battery pack, and diamond board are all one unit.  The USB port is on the board attached to the battery pack.

also, remove the batteries when not in use (at the end of the day)

watched the vid, loved it, but very disappointed it didn't cover shaking the pommel to get at the USB port ... and they didn't show the saber.
