Many forum users post pics by using a website known as IMGUR. It's a free site that you can upload pictures to, then copy the BBCode link and add that to your post.

Example: [ img][/ img]

Been wondering the same thing myself, it's not as straight forward as i had hoped or as i have done before on other forums BUT

i figured it out!

1. seems your image needs to be 130px by 200px (just a guess but worked for me)
2. open an account @ its free
3. create an album and up load the image to it
4. now click on the image in your account
5. the window in the previous post will open
6. click copy on the image link
7. hover over the icons above looks like a calendar opens up profile and click it
8. open forum profile information in the modify profile box to the left
9.  now click on the i have my own picture button the paste the cod from into the window which has HTTP:// already in it
10. you need to keep HTTP:// and delete or edit HTTPS:// so it reads HTTP://your image code here
11. scroll down and click the change profile button
12. click the change profile button a second time (that's what i had to do or my image disappeared)

example code from

Edited Code

Hope it works for you
