Morning All,

I recently received my first US order and she's pretty amazing.

Just need somebody to confirm that batteries normally arrive depleted. I unpacked and made sure the batteries are installed properly and the blade won't turn on. Unfortunately I am at work and didn't order a charger (nor bring my charger from home). So the second I got it outta the bubble wrap to light her up nothing happened. Have another 9 hours at work before I can try to charge them lol!

I'm sure others must have had this issue.

I got the Li-Ion system with the 2x 14500 batteries.

You may be home by now. Make sure there isn't any tape or small piece of paper keeping the batteries from connecting. Sometimes they ship them like that.

Nope not yet, still another 3 hours.

I'll take a look when I have a chance tho, thank you!


Edit: No tape on the batteries. I'm sure they are just dead.

So after getting home, and actually having a charger. I found out the batteries were very very dead.

Charged them up and no issues!

So if anybody else has this issue and is like me (a kid in a candy store) that just wants it to work out of the box.

Remember to charge up them bats!

Weird. Mine have always been charged. Glad it worked out though. Kind of a bummer to have to wait for batteries to charge after getting your new saber.

Though unlikely, maybe the switch got bumped in shipping and it'd been making whoosh noises in transit.

This is very strange. As you can see by my sig, I have numerous experiences with sabers with sound. The only time I ever had issues with a saber not powering up was in my Emerald saber, but that was only because I ordered ALWAYS ON for my illuminated AV, so to keep my batts from depleting they taped one of my contacts (as Tx suggested). Makes me wonder if you have a potential short. Fortunately US has a 1-year warranty from defects. And they are pretty awesome about fixing things in a timely manner.

US isn't perfect, perhaps they just put uncharged batteries in your saber on accident, and without realizing.
