He was fired off iconic movie Easy Rider (in the role that eventually went Jack Nicholson, putting him on the map) for allegedly pulling a knife on Denis Hopper who was also directing the movie. However, a lot of younger people may remember him from Men in Black or Dodgeball but he had a career that spanned 65 years.

He was great. I liked his role as Don Geiss the most. Classic. RIP.
