The burn on the bamboo definitely helps the look
It gives it that extra bit of depth it was missing. that looks like a wonderful project. I know that we all look forward to the finished product.
BTW this looks like what one of my coworkers would like me to build for him

Just a little update, I have been making a few tweaks to it. I failed to take in to count the thermal effect on different materials and had a decent crack form on the bamboo over the emitter. So I will take it as a duh moment and give the advice that when working with two vastly dissimilar materials make sure you leave enough clearance for expansion and contraction.

To me green would be perfect that hilt was created by nature (the force) and the green blade color means more focused on the force side of being a jedi and being more connected with the force just a thought but that is outstanding work props

Here's a WIP of the second saber. I fixed the issues that I came across on the first and it will be far simpler to install. On the other hand it's a little thicker and just doesn't have that same comfortable feel. I still have a good bit of work to do on it. I will be greebling it up and adding a bit more character in the next couple days.  |

I have the external part of the second saber “finished”? The internals will be far easier to do then the first one. I will be going arctic blue on it. Just need a blade holder led unit from tcss and the rest of the internals from US and it will live. I should have my mini switch tomorrow for the original hilt and I’m thinking of using what ever internals I get from my raffle prize to bring it to life. Might have to hold off on sound until I save up the money.
