Since it sounds like your technical skills aren't with electronics, the best choice (and keeps the lightsaber warranty), is to contact customer service and request the modifications to be done by UltraSabers. They can help with that.

There are several options you can have done:

have US set up the led module with disconnects and buy various colored led modules;
have the white (Adegan Silver + Color Discs);
TRI Adegan Silver + Color Discs (for a bit more money);

If the non-illuminated AV switch is going to be switched to an illuminated one, that will require rewiring the lightsaber, which would be best done by US. If it's a latching guarded switch to be replaced with a latching AV switch, the guarded switch is a bit smaller, so the hole would need to be enlarged (if going with a US AV switch), but US hot glues the switches in so you'd have to either reheat the glue or take the time and effort to remove the glue some other way.

At this point, looking at the price for modifications to your current lightsaber, you may instead want to look into buying a new one with the look and specs you desire.

Better saber smiths are on the forums and they may have more informed opinions for you.

To get the LED out just remove the blade and shake the LED housing out the end. Since those don't come with the quick connect option you will need to cut and splice wires or desolder the old LED star and solder in a new one.
The switches are glued in so using something long and rigid to scrape the glue from the inside around the switch allows it to come out. From there it comes to rewiring for the new switch. Also you need to select and wire the proper switch.  If you have a stunt saber changing the switch to something more elaborate can involve quite a bit of rewiring and may require extra parts like my Scorpion needed.
