Hello everyone,
Just got my first saber ordered,
My boyfriend, son and I are getting stunt sabers then plan on customizing the appearance adding sound to them later.
If anyone has revamped their sabers to sound was it easy for them as we plan to do it ourselves later.

Hello and welcome to this forum.

I haven't added sound to my sabers, but I know a few people here have. Try a quick search on the forum, lot's of customisation and tinkering there. As well as alot of people willing to help with any questions.
And I should mention. Most of us really enjoy pictures and video's of sabers, unboxing, spinning, fighting and tinkering with sabers.  just a little hint......  Wink

Hello and welcome to the forum violetlass, glad to have you here. So  cool to hear this is going to be a family thing! I'm sharing my new hobby (addiction) with my daughter as well. I forsee many fun times in your future. Which sabers did ya'll get? And of course, we the forum,  await the pictures, videos of all the craziness to come. One final question, are you light side, dark side or Grey like me?

Welcome to the party.

As has been asked, what sabers is everyone getting? And of course we love pictures, both before and after customizations.

As far as adding sound yourself, a lot of people have done it, it mostly depends on how good your soldering skills are. However, as a first place to start, you can find wiring diagrams for all the sound/LED cards here: http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=40651.0

There is also an entire Technical sub-forum you can look to for help, as well as individual forums for Emerald, Obsidian, and Diamond. And an entire customization sub-forum for tips and suggestions if you're trying to get a specific look.

And always feel free to ask questions, we're a pretty helpful bunch. There is also the forum search function if you're looking for specific information, although it is best to search in individual sub-forums as a full forum search tends to take a few minutes.

Sounds a bit ambitious, adding the sound yourself, but I know it can be done as I've build a couple of sabers
