Beautiful Frankensaber!
Thank you for the review, enjoyed watching it. And of course point given.
Quick question:
Does the V-shape in the 'Mantis' part hurt your hands while handling the saber?
Where do you grip it most? Above or below the switch?
The balancepoint being right below the emitterwindows suggest you want to grip it there when spinning.
And the black line beneath the golden emitter, does it go round entirely or ges it around only for one half of the hilt? (3:36min timepoint)
The V-shaped chevron doesn't hurt my hands, but I can see where some aggressive spinning moves might scrape the flesh a little bit. I just don't spin much (or any, really) yet, and when I hold the saber and use it, I tend to grip below that point, where the switch is, with the thumb of my dominant hand above the switch, and my "off" hand, when it is used, grabbing the widest part of the saber, where the black ribs are.
The black line at the emitter end is only visible for about half the circumference of the saber, because the "back" of the saber is covered by a shroud for the rest of it. Below are a couple pics to help illustrate that.
