Hello everyone!

I have my first saber, an Apprentice, that I accidentally ordered as a "stunt" and decided I wanted to add sound to it. I know I have to replace my switch as well to a momentary one, but I'm not sure how to get the old switch out. I've used a heat gun to soften any glue on the inside but it's not budging. Do I need to pry with a tiny screwdriver? If so, which part of the switch? Please see image link for details (I hope this works). Red arrow or Blue arrow?!?

Thanks,

David

The red arrow. Even better would be the place directly where the bezel meets the hilt.

If you try the blue arrow, you will probably damage the switch.

Prying at the blue arrow Will damage or destroy the switch. Prying at the red one will dislodge it but it will be alot of work. I get them out fairly easily by using a screwdriver and long nosed pliers to pry and pull the glue off from the inside. Then I pull the switch out easily.

There's hot glue that holds down the AV switch, you'll have to run a heat gun to melt the glue and I say use a towel in between your pliers/tools so that you won't damage the switch. My pace is normally heat, pry, heat, pry, heat, pry. You'll get into a pace and the AV switch will eventually pop out
