Anyone have experience replacing retention screws with thumb screws?

Hey Galef I’m curious what you ended up deciding to do?

Greywalker, I goy 20 of the ones in my first post, but with 3/8" length.  They've worked well enough for our V2s, but the brass wears off.  Iv'e also got 3 gold and 1 black thumb screws from TCSS, but as my Sentinel v5 LE and wife's Dark initiate v4 LE have not yet arrived, I haven't gotten to use those at all

Oh nice. Yeah I like adding them. It’s nothing major but gives it a little something extra or different to set them aside from others. Those screws I posted haven’t worn down yet. I’ve also got this really neat metal polish for jewelry that I’m going to try on them. I used it on some gold coins and they looked amazing. Hoping it has the same effect on my sabers and screws.
