I ordered a saber with the obsidian lite board that uses 4x AAA batteries. Will I be able to use 4x AAA rechargeable li-ion batteries? Also if I am able to use li-ion batteries, would you suggest nimh or li-ion rechargeable batteries when it comes to lightsabers?

Lithiun Ion batteries are a different higher voltage. They cannot be used in place of AAA. You can use nimh rechargeable AAA batteries.

Grab some Eneloop Pro rechargables.  Just make certain you purchase them from a reputable source if you order online!

or check your Costco, some carry the Eneloop with spacers to make the AA's into a 'C' or 'D' if you find yourself in an 'emergency' without a C or D cell.  (was invaluable when my kids were younger and would receive electronic toys that required C's and I didn't have time/chance to grab a set from Costco)

(yeah, I like shopping at Costco...)

Would you need a separate charger for the AAA or will the one I got with my saber work?
