Hello all,

Has anyone else with the EH had trouble with the grip 'trim' screws falling out ?  I have had three so far, so I'm having to snug them all up, there must be a couple of dozen ornamental screws on that hilt. very tiny, only a few threads, so not much to dab a tiny drop of Loctite on. They are a 3/32" hex so can't just grab a blade screw wrench to check them.

I love the hilt otherwise !  Its a very awesome display saber, kind of bulky for dueling unless two handed, but it's a work of art!  I don't think there are many other hilts that have as much "ornamentation" in their design, are there?

I own one as well.  Haven't had the screw issues, but don't use it hard. Smiley

Yes, gorgeous hilt. Smiley

The first screw that fell out, it was so short I thought it had broken off. I thought I had the remnants to extract in the hilt.  Nope.

I know in another thread/discussion there was talk of using blue Loctite to secure (AV) switches rather that the hot glue US build method. I was thinking a dab of good old Gorilla Glue for these tiny screws as I don't see myself removing them.

It's your saber. Smiley  I'd stick with the locktite personally, but any adhesive will work. Smiley

That's a bit odd - that screws fell out.  I don't doubt you, just strange.

In aluminum - should stay...

agreed. Steel screws in aluminum threads should stay put, but these screws are super-stubby, maybe two threads to work with so could easily over-torque. Don't know how the are installed during the build -- gotta be a pain to install couple of dozen tiny screws in the grip and snug them all down with a wrench.
