For the Prophecy V3 (or any other hilt for that matter) do folks recommend the covertec wheel to be on the left or the right. I have seen a couple posts where folks have suggested that a covertec on the right would be less annoying. I'm also thinking that the wheel might be better if moved closer to the pommel. Can anyone advise?

I personally prefer my covertec wheels to be on the back of the saber! But that's just my preference

Placement for the covertech is all based on preference.  In the past I’ve seen members just let US place it wherever on their first saber and make adjustments on future sabers.  I prefer to have them placed opposite the activation switch.

Well for me I'm right handed and the cover tech is to the right side of the switch when you are looking at it which is perfect. Because I use my right hand up above it and when I grip the lower section with my left hand it does not get in the way. hope this helps.

This.

My wheel is on the left, but I would much prefer it to be on the back.

OK. I just received an E-mail informing me that it is possible to move the wheel to the right. But there will still be a small hole on the left because the hilts are apparently mass-produced. I don't know if an open hole on the left is going to take away from the look of the saber.

Should I bite the bullet and deal with it as is or go with the visible hole and move the C-Wheel?

It just kind of pisses me off that the pic on the website has the C-Wheel on the right. Why wouldn't they offer that?

You can plug the hole with a short button head screw.

In some ways I'm actually thinking about not even having a C-Wheel even put on. But the thought of an open hole was what made me reluctant. But using a small button screw just might do the trick.

Great idea.

Thanks everyone

Yup.   The threads are 8/32, you can find a wide selection of these at any local hardware store.

Just remembered you may be able to ask US to add the screw in advance since that's what they do on the Brood Guard which is pre-drilled for left or right application.
