Ultrasabers recharge port and covertec wheel  Photo embedded by your friendly neighborhood, ModI received 2 free upgrades on my fallen diamond saber. The covertec wheel and the recharge port. my question is: is this port active? Would they send a saber with this feature uninstalled? That's about it. Thanks for the read |

I know the covertec wheel comes standard with the Fallen. The intro video for it even says it will match the hilt color (so red for the Crimson Fallen, blue for an Azure Fallen, etc)
As for the port, I've seen videos with GBs that had the port but it was not functional due to being a stunt saber with the Standard setup.
I think for GBs, this could be US "recycling" returned and defective sabers. Fixing whatever issue they had, gutting them for sound and setting them up as GBs. This makes sense as it would be easier to simply replace a faulty saber with a brand new one and have the returned saber repurposed.
But since your Fallen was a Diamond saber (I assume this is the same one from your recent review), I would suspect it to be functional.
I've received free upgrades on a pair of my sabers as well. My VA Phantasm V2 came with AV switches that I did not upgrade to, so that was a nice surprise.

I would probably feel the same way, it's a costly upgrade too so if it works that's great, the decorative piece would be interesting to see. |

This is a good question as my Graflex SE that I ordered showed up with a recharge port that I did not order. And because I didnt order it I dont have the charger to try it out to see if its operational.

Unfortunately not. And I don't have a charger that would fit. I had hoped the wire from the XTar VC2 charger could work but it has a 2.5 mm plug, instead of 2.1 mm. If I would measure the voltage on the port, should there be an value if the port is connected? |

I think if I bought a saber without recharge port and I recieved one with a recharge port that was not functional, I would be very upset. I love my recharge ports but they are nit the prettiest things to look at and it cold break up the look and design of the saber.
