Here's a blade/saber comparison review I did of a Yoda MR that I converted yesterday from stock to Luxeon Rebel Star single-die green. I used the kit from TCSS along with 8.7-degree lens. It came out awesome. I compare Ultrasabers' UltraEdge blade to the standard Ultrasabers mid-grade blade to see which provides the best brightness and color quality for a green Rebel-equipped saber. Soundboard is stock. The results were surprising; both are awesome blades in their own right, but you be the judge!
The Ultrasabers blades I used were 36" and not Initiate blades. I do plan on purchasing an Initiate blade in the future for my son, but the 36" full length 1"-diameter blade looks awesome on the Yoda. No more skinny, weak blade.
With the TCSS kit the standard US mid grade blade fit perfectly, but the UltraEdge was a very tight fit due to it being a couple microns larger in O.D. Light sanding would be required.
I also do a comparison between my converted Yoda with Ultrasabers blade and a stock MR Luke ROTJ V2 on fresh batts (6 AAs!). Guess which saber won in terms of brightness and overall color quality?
You can skip to 1:26 in the vid to get directly to the blade comparisons, both done in full light and lights off.
