Hello all! I recently purchased and received my first US Saber, the Fallen, with the emerald driver and li-ion setup.  Shocked It is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and I am immensely impressed with it. After receiving it and doing some research, I decided to get a battery holder with a speaker and the obsidian v4 card to add sound to it. I'm moderately skilled with soldering/electronics but only a baseline understanding of circuitry.
I have found some useful threads on this forum with a few variations of the wiring diagrams for emerald and obsidian, but I was wondering if there was some kind of master wiring schematic so that I don't accidentally short something.

I thought I had seen one with the various parts in a visio-like diagram though... will come back if I stumble across it.


I tried to play with it before the Diamond arrived and was able to do a little bit, not alot, until I had a diamond connected to my PC.

These are my two slightly edited versions of the wiring diagrams, (only removed the accent LED and Power lvl indicator).

Anyone know why there's a difference in the grounding for the recharge port/emerald driver and lead ground?

If anyone has any insight as to why the grounding for the recharge port/emerald driver and lead ground are different, that would be greatly appreciated.

I've been trying to work out what the actual difference in current flow or voltage is but it is escaping me.
might have to ask my man Rob... Undecided
