Emerald Saber w/o sound, adding obsidian v4

Good, then there was an issue with the wiring of the Emerald Driver. Need to get back to that once the other things work properly

FoC is already included in the Driver, you just have to wire the FoC terminal of the Obsidian to the FoC terminal of the Driver. As you already had the Driver, you also have the multi-colour LED required for FoC. No need for any accent LEDs or similar.

Out of interest: Did you wire the battery pack according to the labels provided with it or did you change anything there? IIRC, you were unsure if the red wire is really the negative or just mislabelled...

Well, looong story short, it is finished! And it works! I will compile some pictures and post an update here soon.

I have run into an issue. When I connect to the obsidian v4 on my PC, it has an error trying to download the drivers, and so the obsidian doesn't load in the US Launcher.

To get it out of the way:
 - ran as admin during install and when opening the launcher
 - using a USB 2.0 hub between the saber and the PC
 - saber connects fine via emerald
 - all the default soundfonts are there that it came with so I still have sound I just cannot access the V4 via my computer.

I have been scouring the forum for a fix, and haven't come across anything that works yet, so any insight would be greatly appreciated

Well I certainly feel stupid. I literally posted that, then tried a different port and voila.

I used a digital volt meter on the battery pack to confirm that the wires were labeled wrong. Red was + and black was -

Sounds great! Can't wait to see the pics...

The only issue I've run into is that with the added internal height from the speaker, the emerald and obsidian boards are really close to where the switch and recharge port are, so I have to heat up the hotglue on the switch everytime I want to pull it out lol. not an issue really just very tight with the extra wires and such

Doesn't look like that, the hilts seems to be long enough...well, as long as everything works

Similar experience here! I can’t fit the pommel on the end. Maybe I need to tie wires up tighter inside or possibly shorten a few?

try and get as much of the wiring on the topside of the switch, and orient the boards/speaker so that the wires/plugs are sort of either side of where the switch protrudes into the chamber
