All, I tried doing a search, but is it normal for obsidian v3 Sabers with tri cree to flicker very slightly? I checked all of the wire connections and made sure the batteries were fresh and secure. It is very slight, almost like it is flickering with the hum of the speaker. Just curious.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but it might be a flicker driven by the obsidian that's from the soundfont.

If it's actually from a power fluctuation issue that could be from the power delivery system or a grounding issue.

Are you sure it's the v3 and not the lite?  I only ask because you said fresh batteries which I interpreted as new batteries.

I've never heard of it, but two things come to mind:

1) There's something loose somewhere that you haven't found.

2) If it's in time with the hum of the speaker, it's possible that the LED's are vibrating from the vibration of the speaker. Which, while theoretically possible, is something I've never heard of happening.

What hilt is it happening in?

It is a consular hilt. It is very faint, but it’s there. And The leds don’t seem to be going all the way out on the flicker, it is just flicker dimmer.

If you have the standard battery setup, use  electrical tape to ensure that they don't pop out ever so slightly. The standard AAA setup are infamous for doing so

It is an obsidian v3 setup with li-ion batteries. I even tried wiggling the batteries while it was running, but it didn’t change anything.

Maybe I'm missing something but is it like, a bad thing? Does it just look like a lightsaber blade flickering? Or is it substantial enough that it might be a power/wiring issue

You are absolutely right, the flickering itself doesn’t bother me, I actually like it. But I thought I read that the obsidian v3 and v4 setups aren’t supposed to do that. So I just worry that something is faulty or not properly connected, which could lead to a larger issue down the road, potentially after the warranty period. If it is normal, then I am definitely ok with it, but if it’s not, I would like to get it corrected.
